Before you print your photos with some of the UKs cheapest photo print labs, why not make some simple alterations to the photos in order to make them look even better. Most image editing software makes it pretty easy to touch up your photos. Even if you don't have any image editing software, then Google provides the excellent Picassa software for free.
Removing red eye
Removing red eye is one of the easiest things to do, and most applications have an automatic red-eye removal tool. For example, in Picassa you just click on a single button. The software automatically identifies any eyes within the image and removes the red automatically. It's really that easy.
Rotate the image
If the image is slightly angled, then almost every application will allow you to easily rotate the image by the few degrees. When yoiu've done this, you may need to crop the image so that it is still a rectangle though.
Crop the image
Everyone has taken a photo where sometihing unexpected is visible to the side or top of the main content. Just use your favourite tool to cut those sections out - It's easy.
Blurring effects
This is slightly more advanced than the previous two techniques, but is still a relatively easy thing to do. Perhaps select the background parts of an image, then use the blur tool to make then less sharp - This focuses peoples attention on the foreground better and can make a better picture.
Resize
Unless you're printing at home, you're probably not going to have to do this, as pretty much all online photo printers will do this for you automatically.
